Chaplain Interns
Chaplain Interns are students receiving Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) training through the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education, Inc. Sutter Roseville Medical Center may have anywhere from 3 to 6 Chaplain Interns at any given time providing spiritual care to patients, families and staff. Our interns come from all walks of life and diverse faith traditions. As interns, they may be here full-time (Summer CPE) or part time (Extended CPE) depending on the program they are completing.

On-Call Volunteers
Our On-Call Volunteers are members of the community, both laity and clergy, with an interest in providing spiritual care to individuals in times of crisis. Our volunteers come from numerous faith traditions. With over 20 volunteers, Sutter Roseville has one of the largest volunteer programs of any Chaplaincy department in the Sacramento area. Our volunteers primarily respond to emergency calls after hours. They are a vital part of the SRMC Chaplain team.
